The Rock Pile is showing her age.

Our first look up close shows that the planned renovation is timely. You can see the slate tiles giving way and sliding out like old teeth. Our plan is the replace the slate roof in the first phase of the building project.

Where did Yew go?

Our two lovely two story Yew "bushes" where removed today to make room for the scaffolding. Shame that they where too close to the building and showing their age. It is sad but on the bright side for you latin lovers... we have less Taxus canadensis

Test Holes

What is that noise?

We have created some test holes to determine how to turn the water off on the top two floors. It is alway good to turn the water and electricity off BEFORE we rip down walls.

No Room for Trunks

This was was a room reserved for the steamer trunks of seminarians. Those attended St. Peter’s Seminary know that the Trunk Room in the bell tower was a storage area stuffed full of discards. People would leave stuff behind and we would stuff it in the Trunk Room. Well it is finally cleaned out ready to receive the new heating and colling system.

Goodbye Student Lounge

Our Student Lounge has been the site of many great parties and socials over the years. For Phase One of the Building Project it will be used as a storage room for our furniture that will be reused at SPS Seminary. Room 102 will later become the new Seminarian Lounge and Room 110 will become the Lay Ministry Studies Commuter Lounge.

Furniture

Our staff has been busy clearing out the top two flours of the seminary. The furniture we are reusing is being stored in the main lounge and the surplus is being sold at Leo Stock Auction Yard in Stratford.

Buckets

What are buckets for in the various attics at St. Peter's... It seems that they are there to collect the rain water leaking through the roof. That is why we see to leaking only after a lot of rain. It is only when the buckets are filled that the water begins to flow.
